County Court
Yesterday in County court at
Stillwater, Oliver Strotter, a ne-
gro who was picked up near Yale
about a mont ago for having choc
in his possession, was tried anu
found guilty, drawing o sentence
of 30 days in jail and $50.00 fine
and costs. ,
W. L. Watler who was Charged
with transorting had his case dis-
missed. . ....
Toda « ca3e '9 Being tried that
involves, an expensive car, a for-
feited bond and a charge of un-
lawful oossession. During the
roundup held in Yale the first of
August, Alex Tall Chief and two
other Indians took port in the rop-
ing contests. One evening the
law picked trem up with a bottle
of corn whisky. They gave bond
to appear in Stillwater August 4
at 10:00 o’clock, but failed to get
there until almost noon. The
judge declared their bond forfeit-
ed. The car, a high priced one,
was confiscated, and the Inlian s
guardian has taken the matter up
and the chances are that a long
lawsuit will develop.
