The preliminary was held before Jus- sisting of six rooms, bath,

About the only defense he can now
have is temporary insanity, and
probably that will be his plea in the
hope of escaping the electric chair.

CLASSIFIED COLUMN
The most interesting and most
widely read part of the Transcript is
its Classified Department. You read
it yourself, so you may know that
others do likewise. It tells the wants
of the community, what people have
to sell or what they want to buy, or
rent or anything along that line.
Terms are very reasonable. Try a
classified liner. The average price is
only 25 cents for three insertions,
and a "liner" might make you many
dollars.

heart and mind of Norman's loyal
citizenship.
Loyal citizenship will make any
town a city that cannot be hid.
While writing and thinking of Nor-
- man, and thinking along lines leading
backwards, we have always seen the
form and guiding hand of a prom-
inent man whose shadow is disappear-
ing. but his works will live on and on.
It is substance and not shadow that
we see, as a result of this man's la-
bors.
We have had the pleasure of close
friendship for more than a quarter of
a century with one who has lived in
Norman since Wigwam days until
now.*
In our labor of love for our city
during the past few years, when
faint and weary, when tired and dis-
couraged, on our way to and from
home we always found rest, comfort
and help. When our burdens were
too heavy we took them to this man. I
He was always an optimist and had
a good word for everybody, and his
guiding hand will be missed by the;
Civic Committee. Many things were j
made possible by his liberal spirit I
and substantial support, and we re-
gret to see the shadows lengthening,'
but with sweet recollection we look
backwards to our companionship for
so many years, in years that made
history in the building of a city.
This man that we think of never
made an enemy, and never lost a
friend, and may his future days be
brighter and years happier; may day-
light fade into twilight, and twilight
into everlasting day.
With the whole City of Norman,
we regret the leaving of Mr. D. L.
Larsh, and hope and trust and pray
it may not be an assured fact.
