An audience that filled the Franing
almost to its capacity was delightful-
ly entertained by the Ladies Glee Club
of the University of Oklahoma last
night. They rendered "The Bells of
Elfarnie," a cantata especially adapt-
ed for ladies' voices, and certainly re-
flected credit upon themselves and
upon Miss Metta K. Legler, head of
the Voice Department, under whose
direction it was given. It was a
dainty, beautiful little cantata, telling
a pretty story, and the stage setting
was made especially attractive and
pleasing !>y the number of pretty girls
who took part in it. Miss Legler cer-
tainly demonstrated her ability to
. bring out the best in her pupils and
I her excellence as an instructor.
The following was the personel of
cantata:
Directress: Miss Metta K. Legler
"Delilah"—Mrs. E. R. Newby.
"Almina"—Miss Lucille Snider.
"Spirit of the Air"—Miss Florence
McMakin.
Accompanist—Miss Ethel Maude
Smith.
