The success of Enid in securing the

eastern rivals feel sadder than ever.
It is quite possible that Enid will pull
the state capital in an eight cornercd

Certainly every voter should be equal
ly as able to answer this question as
the ones on tbe prohibition and anti-
prohibition question. And yet becau-
se of party blindness, because of
false promises, and pledges that are
never expected te be kept, some m^n
talk of voting against their own in-
terests.
It Is the history of politics that
those expecting special favors at tbe
hands of political parties, align them
selves with the party that has had
control, and from which they ba\e
reason to belelve they can get special
priveleges.
The republican party has been in
control of Oklahoma for many years
by virtue of a republican national
administration. Tbe railroads had
no use for the demjcratic party
could not have used it, had they
wanted to do so. But a glance at
the history of republicanism la Okla
homa shows h w the corporations
have been benefitted by that party's
administration.
At the head of the party's organi-
zation are tbe representatives of the
railroads and the trusts. It is not
necessary for one to hunt around to
find a railroad representative in the
republican party. They are at the
bead of it. And yet this is the party
tbat is making the fight with the
money of corporations at its disposal
to control the constitutional conven-
tion.
The man who wrote tbe Enabling
Act, Henry Asp, is a candidate for
constitutional delegate, and tbe
corporations expect, if they can con-
trol the convention, that Henry Asp
will write the constitution for Okla-
homa.
