Prisoner.
South McAlester, 1, T., Aug. 28.—
Deputy Sheriff Charles E. Burkhart,
of Denver, reached here Saturday
and took charge of J. A. Hill, presi-
dent of the Denver Savings bank,
which recently went into the hands
of a receiver. Hill was arrested
here Thursday as a fugitive from
justice. Be gave bond pending the
arrival of the Denver officer and wil-
lingly ieturned to Colorado without
demanding requisition papers. At
Denver an indictment was returned
against him for receiving deposits
when his bank was insolvent.

Boy Receives Painful Injury
Playing.
A little boy whose parents live at
the Centra) rooming house was plav-
ing on the stairway between the First
National bank and the post-cillce yes-
terday when he fell and struck a nail
projecting from a board. The nail
ran into his leg at the knee and pro-
duced a painful and dangerous wound.
