Whereas, at a regularity called
meeting of the Democratic Territori-1
al Central Committee held in Okla- j
homa City, Oklahoma territory, on ,
February 28th, 1002 convened for
general purposes, it was officially
decided by said committee that there j
should be held at the city of Enid,
Garfield county Oklahoma Terrritory,
on the 22nd day of April . 1902, a dele-
gate convention of the Democratic
party of Oklahoma Territory for the
purpose of selecting a i.ominee of
said party for Delegate to Congress,
and that the basis of representation
therein should be, in the old counties |
of the Territory, one vote for each j
one hundred votes or major fraction i
thereof cast for the Hon. R. A. Neff j
in the year 1900 for Delegate to Con- j
press and that the three new coun-1
ties should respectively have votes
as follows: Comanche, twenty, Cad-
do seventeen, and Kiowa seventeen j
and it was further recomended by
said committee that primaries or
county caucuses to be held in each
county on Saturday April 12, 1002, for
the purpose of selecting delegates
thereto, at which all qualified voters
who supported the Hon. R. A. Neff ^
and are in full accord with the princi-1
les of the National Democratic plat- j
form adopted in Kansas City in 1900 |
be allowed and invited to partici-1
pate. |
Now therefore, in accordance with
said proceedings and in compliance j
with the instructions of said commit-!
tee We, Win. M. Anderson, as chair-
man, and Verde V. Hardcastle, as.
secretary, of said Democratic Terri-1
torial Central Committee do hereby j
call a Convention of the Democratic j
party of the Territory of Oklahoma
to meet and assemble at the
city op knid, tuesday, april
22nd, 1902,
for the purpose of selecting a candi-
date and nominee of said party for
Delegate to Congress, a territorial
committee and for other general con-
vention purposes, for the interest of
said party.
That the basis of representation of
the various counties in said conven-
tion shall be, as above stated, and
they shall be entitled to delegates as
follows towit:

choosing of delegates in their res-
pective counties and are reminded
of the recommendation of said com-
mittee that county primaries or con-
ventions be held on April 12th to
choose the same.
A meeting of the Democratic Ter-
ritorial committee will be held at the
said city of Knid on April 21, 1902.
All Democratic papers are request-
ed to copy.
