Delicate Flynn came in this morning on
schedule time to look after Oalnhoina
matters in ti.h convention. He is in-
sisting that Oklahoma, which id being
maltreated and outraged by tho preset t
administration should not lind the doors
closed at a great Republican convention
and"they will not bo. Thore is the host
kind of ft ©ling imaginable on all sides
among delegates and prominent Kepnb-
• ioa. s for Oklahoma, and as a result
OUlaiiomaiiS feel certain they are at
home and can drink deep in tho cup of
oonsolation. Mr. Flynn wants the com-
mittco on resolutions to favor homo rule
and what is more, to carry it out. The
mocratio party in Oklahoma has re
coived a staggering blow at tho hands of
the Democratic administration by rea
son of violating and making a serious
m ichino of home rule.
Then it is proposed by Mr. Flynn to
i: j ct a free home plank in tho platform.
This is near aud dear to the people of
Oklahoma living on claims, and to all,
for it is a saving of man millions of
cash to the people, and this would have
a perceptablo effect on tho business of
Oklahoma. The bill has passed the
house, this by the grace of Speaker
Uecd, uid it has been reported favorably
in the senate. Tho Republicans in con-
vention assembled will approve this con-
gressional action and pledge the candi-
date nominated to sign the bill should it
cvr-r bo presented to him for his signa-
ture. In the face of tl.e opposition pre
seoted by Cleveland, this may be tho
real beginning of freo homes iu OUla,
noma. It is now certain that Cleveland
will veto tho bill. Can it be passed over
iiis head? Delegate Flynn thinks it can
