"Men Whom You Know."
A novelty has been created and a
new step in political campaigning
has been taken by John It. Wil-
liams, Chairman Democratic Cam-
paign Committee, in his "Men
W liom You All Know" book, just
off the press. Williams has been
called "Master of the Art Political,"
and hi- campaign document almost
justilies the name. It is tilled with
political lore of the very best kind.
Photos of every candidate for
% state oflice, and of the hold-over
ollicers. are shown in the publica-
tion. Also a short biographical
sketch of each candidate and a
likeiie.-.- of Mr. William-. W. B
Samuel, sc. retary of the committee,
Mid J. D. Lankfonl, treasurer.

of the page, and above the photo

vol'-, which ends as follow-: "Poli-
tics will never be made purer and
cleaner by unclean voters, but an
.honest citizenship, constantly and
diligently asserting itself will give
us clean -polities and clean politi-
cians."
Oil tin- last. the s 1th • page, the
Democratic emblem, a lustily crow-
ing rooster is shown, and Mr.
( rue' s tribute to Oklahoma is
given.
Mr. Crucc'3 speech appears in
the publication. No two page- -it
reading matter run together, the
book having been arranged so that
photos of candidates alternate with
reading matter.
The publication is a souvenir
which friends of the Democratic
nominees will keep. It is new as
a campaign idea, is novel in its
make up, is bright, catchy and
short's Williams and the men whom
he has drawn around' him as ad-
visers. to lie wide awake practical
business men.
The book came off the press yes-
terday, but headquarters is sending
them out by the thousands, as it is
the desire to get them in the hands
. of the voters, in order that they
may become acquainted with the
men who will in the greatest proba-
bility handle the reins of govern-
| ment in Oklahoma during the next
four years.
A copy of the book can be
; secured by writing Democratic Cam-
paign Headquarters. Oklahoma
City.
Reason for Cub's Defeat.
To play base hall or any other
I athletic game, it is very necessary
that the men go to bed early and
rest well. Had the Cubs not had
to change sleeping places so much,
they could have done better in tin*
series. Now tin- Athletics slept in
hotels where they used only Sani-
down Mattresses. These are for
; sale by B. A. Isom; and are guar-
anteed.
