Death of Mrs. Wagoner
Mrs. A. M. Wagoner, after a ten
months illness, died at her home
eight miles northeast of Lexington
Friday night.
The funeral services were con-
ducted at Noble Sunday, after
which the remains were laid to rest
in the Noble cemetery.
Meeting of Alumni
Guthrie, Okla., April 9.—S. C.
Heyman. president, has issued the
following call for the Second State
Conference of Charities:
The Second State Conference of
Charities will be held in the city of
Shawnee, April 20th and 30th. All
persons who are connected with lo-
cal charity organizations or private
institutions, or arc willing to work
for the social uplift of Oklahoma
are cordially invited to attend and
become members of the permanant
organization".
All state institutions will be rep-
resented officially. Arrangements
have been made for five section
meetings to be held on Friday
morning. At these meetings metli-!

throughout the state are shedding
huge briny tears because the new
election law does not allow repre-
sentation of the socialists and pro-
hibition parties upon the election
boards. The said republican pn-
; pers so far have failed to mention
the fact that during all the years
| the republican party was in power
1 in Oklahoma they never made it
I possible for a minority party to
have representation upon the elec-
tion board. They are also assum-
ing more than they are warranted
in stating that the socalisists and
prohibitionists will not have repre-1
sentation under the new law, as
there is no hinge in the new law to
prevent the socialists and prohibi-
tionists from having the represen-
tion that has been heretofore ae-
! corded to the republicans.

home of Miss Corinne Mitchell Mon-
day night, for the purpose of niak-
ling arrangements for the Annual
Alumni Banquet, to be held the
night following Commencement.
After the house was called to or-
der by the president and the gen-
eral routine of business disposed of,
j the constitution was amended and
two eommitties, one on preparation
and decoration and the other on
j initiation, were appointed, after
I which the remainder of the evening
was pleasantly spent in discussing
the various features of the banquet.
