W. F. Hopkins, foreman of the
painters crew of the Northern division
of the G C & S F Ry., is here painting
the new depot. Mr. Hopkins is a
painter of many years experience and
he states that after using all the differ-
ent brands of paint that the Santa Fe
has adopted the celebrated Sherwin-
Williams. Mr. Hopkins says that the
winning features of theS. W. P. are its
durability, covering capacity and the
easiness with which it is applied. Fur-
ther evidence of the popularity of this
paint is the fact that it is used Ex
clusivly by the Texas and Pacific Rail
road and the H. &. T. C. R. R. on all
of their depots and other buildings.
The Wells Fargo Express Company
are also painting their new offices at
this place with it.
It you contempate painting in the
near future, we will be pleased to have
you talk with Mr. Hopkins with re-
gard to the virtue of S. W. P.

The Sulphur-Pauls \ alley football
game last Saturday demonstrated that
the Pauls Valley team is the champ-
ions of the Santa Fe south of Norman.
The game was hard fought from the
kick-off, neither side scoring in the
first half. The second half was an-
other battle from the kick-off. Pauls
Valley secured the ball by downs on
Sulphur's 40-yard line with two minutes
to play, and by a series of fast plays
Captain Haines and Mitchell were
thrown around Sulphur's ends and
Jennings through the center, until
Mitchell carried the ball around the
right end for a touchdown. Pauls Valley
failed to kick goal, leaving the score 5
to 0 in favor of Pauls Valley.
