nearly all of the churches in town Sunday
The Christmas edition of the Wynnewood
New Era, last week, was a beauty and is a
credit to any town or city.
A bill for Indian Territory to have a dele-
gate in congress has been introduced in that
body, but it will, more then likely, be im-
possible to pass it early enough for repres-
entation in the present short session. How-
ever, the measure will be urged with all
possible haste and we can only hope for its
early adoption.

The Bokoshe Chronice, Vol. 1 No. 1,
published at Bokoshe, Ind. Ter., came to
our exchange table this week. It is a seven
column four page sheet, ably edited and
should receive liberal patronage. It's ed-
itorials and other original articles are lively
and blend wit, wisdom and poetry in a
manner that does credit to its editor and
here's hoping that his journalistic career
may ever be as bright as the first issue of
the Chronicle.

AT CHRISTMAS TIME.
By Inez May Felt.
Within an old cathedral dim
The white-robed choir chant a hymn,
That old, old story o'er again,
Of peace on earth, good will toward men.
A holy silence fills the air,
And every head is bowed in prayer,
While from the tower the joy-bells chime
At Christmas time.
Far out upon the briny deep
The mariner his watch doth keep
For his bright, guiding Bethlehem star,
The beacon light that shines afar;
And, as he sees its kindly rays,
He thinks of home and other days,
Of loved ones in a distant clime
At Christmas time.
Again at the old homestead's door
Dear friends and kindred meet once more,
To sit around the hearthstone's glow,
And hark to bells across the snow.
They talk of youth and hope and love,
And gently speak of those above,
The missing ones, with faith sublime,
At Christmas time.
