Bill Morgan has been very sick
for several weeks and is quite sick
at this writing.
Miss Laura Nesbett and Miss
Jessie Ward spent Saturday at
E Duffy's.
F. D. Close went to Norman
Saturday on business.
B. L. Ewing was in Lexington
Saturday on business.
Every body in the Banner and
Alamo district are ready to plant
corn and are waiting on the weath-
er. Mr. Duffy lias already plant-
ed, he says he cant wait any long-
er on the weather.
Geo. Hicks accompanied Miss
Bosa Owens to a dance near Ma-
guire Friday night, they report
having a nice time.
Alamo school is going to Bocky
Point and spell with them Friday
night. Every body invited.
A district Union meets next
Friday night at Banner.
This is all I will say this time
but will come again,
"White Bose."
The correspondent failed to
mention the fact that B. F. Cam-
bron and Miss Dozens were in at-
tendance at tile dance and had
quite a serious time in getting
home as some mischief-maker had
"swooped" harness with B. F.
and it was by careful patching
and tieing up the shaves that they
reached their ho'mes in safty.

W. M. Windle lias been very
sick for four or five days but is
setting up at this writing.
French Henry has just finished
sitting out 1,000 apple trees on
his farm. That's right Henry,
more apples mor-6 cider and vine-
gar and we Pot country people
need lots of vinigar.
Singing at Mr. Prock's Sunday

The ground hog isn't by liim
self this spring staying in his
hole, for we have tried it and its
alright.
We have had nine kinds of
weathar in the last 48 hours, sit-
ing in the house and building fires
is the order of the day.
Mr. Henry and his two sons
i made a business trip to Noble
| Saturday.
Grandpa Bennett returned a
| few days ago from Calafornia,
I where he lias been for some time.
We welcome Mr. Benhet and are
glad to see him back.
Mrs. Striggle is reported on
the sick list this week.
Some people are planting corn
but most of them or out of winter
seed.
