Bob Bingham's house burned down
at 5 o'clock Saturday morning. Noth-
ing but the organ and three chairs
were saved. Bob had gotten up extra
early that morning to go to Sulphur
Springs. He had built a fire and gone
to the barn to harness his team. Mrs.
Bingham and Mr. and Mrs. Gum were
yet in bed. Suddenly they were arous-
ed bv the smoke and jumped out of
bed to find the house on fire and be-
yond control. The report was phoned
to the central telephone otlice and the
alarm given. In five minutes, however,
the (lames had spread over the entire
building. Mrs. Gum was in bed tick
and by the time they got her out it
was too late to get any furnishings out
of the blazing building. Bob's house
was a large ti room frame building and
.well furnished. Bob will probably re-
build i u the same spot soon. He had
i !?J.IiOO insurance on houne aud furnish-
ings. He says this won't replace w hat
he had, but it will h«lp some.
