secretary. Ten directors were elect
ed by ballot, consisting of Mr. Grim
Wm. Stevens, .lames Llddle, Dr.
N. Rector, Mr. Thoruhiirg, M. .1.
Stetler, Mr. Bruce, S. P. Richard
son and James Seidl. On motion
the Fair Association was named the
Kingfisher County Fair Association,
of lli'iincsNcy. The directors cal ed j
a meeting at an early date and will I
proceed at once to obtain a charter
for incorporation of the association.
The grounds selected lie southeast
of town, obtained recently by lease i
from Mr. Grim, for a period of five
years. The grounds arc admirable
for the purpose, and a convenient
distance from town. The directors
were selected because of their public
spirit ami business push, ami will
doubtless make the fair a credit to
Hennessey and Kingfisher countv.

Mr. J. O. Hardy was quite badly
burt last Saturday' night about 1*0
o'clock. While sleeping on a cot
in the driveway of the livery barn
a team was driven iu and the man
working iu the barn thought he
would take care of the Ufm without
awakiug Mr. Hardy and when one
of the horses was unhitched it
started through the barn, running
into Mr. Hardy's cot and trumpeted
Upon him. He was taken home in
an unconsious condition, but is now
able to be up and around.
W. M. Davis, of Lacy was in
town a couple of days this week.
Mr. Davis is a candidate, before the
republican convention, for the nom-
ination of sheriff of Kingfisher
