goes to the bedside of a daughter
who has undergone a surgical
operation and is in a dangerous
condition.
Mrs. J. F. Irving went to Lib-
eral, Tex., last Saturday in re-
sponse to a telegram announcing
the very critical illness of her
mother.

Ridge, Kansas, visited with his
sister, Mrs. Peter Krehbiel and
family Sunday Mr. Reusser is on
his way to Carlsbad, N. M.,
to see some of that irrigation

L J. McBride, three miles
southeast of Geary, who now
owns the Paulk farm, made the
Valley a business call on Tuesday
of last week- Mr. McBride was
formerly from Missouri, but says
he likes Oklahoma better than
the former home Oalahoma peo-
ple are always glad to see new-
comers feel at home and pleased.

Miss Nellie Duncan spent a few
days in Bridgeport with friends

A number of people from this
vicinity are attending the revival
services at Sunny Victory.
Will Thomason, of Bridgeport
makes quite regular visits to a
place this side the river of late.
Messrs, Bruce English and
Buckner of Bridgeport, attended
services at the View Sunday after
noon.
Migses Maggie White and
Maude Duncan attended services
and spent the day in Bridgeport
last Sunday,
Rev. Taylor, the new Evan-
gelical minister, preached an in-
teresting sermon to the people at
this place last Sunday afternoon.
M. F- Creveling returned last
Thursday from his land viewing
trip to southern Missouri well
satisfied to let the other fellow
have all the snaps to be found
in the Ozarks, Okla., looks all
right to him.
School closed with a ciphering
and spelling match in which the
country schools defeated the
youngsters from Bridgeport.
Spelling used to be one of the
principal branches but it now
takes a back seat for sciences
considered by some more import-
ant. The pupils from Elm Grove
and Sunny Victory were here
with their teachers and helped
out the country folks. Mr-
Tucker taught us a good school

grandparents. Mr. and Mrs. J.
D- Johnson, last week.
Louie, the young son of Mr.
and Mrs. Theo. Thoma, obtained
the consent of his mother to go
to Watonga last Sunday He got
there all right, but when he got
ready to return in some manner
he was too late for a ride to
Geary, so he went home with
Harold Davis, who lives north-
west of town- His parents were
considerably worried about him
telephoned and searched all over
for him, until he came to town
