Coming from the source which

No one thinks of asking a
teacher who applies for s school
whether he is s republican, dem-

Why then should we nut use as
good judgment in our chhice of
superintendents.

Ford For Assessor
C.F, Ford has lived in this
section of Oklahoma for many
years past, having farmed the
old homestead in Payne County
previous to locating the towri of
Yale, of which he is a pioneer
citizen. He is a man of mature
age and judgment, an energetic
worker experienced in both
town and country vlife, he has
‘’armed twelve years, taught
school, kept store and published
newspapers during more than a
third of a century of ceaseless
activity.
Ford is peculiarly well qualfied
both by education and experience
for county assessor, Thorough-
ly competent and honorable, he
guarantees if elected to give
Payne county taxpayers a just
and equitable assessment of pro-
perty values
One thing in his favor is that
he has never been an officeseek-
er, this being his first campaign
for an official position. Ninety
per cent of the voters in and
ibout his home town, irrespec-
r.iveof part', say that he is tht
nan for the place and that he.is
■certain to discharge the duties
of the assessor’s office as a pub-
lic trust in no respect to be con-

Mr. Green was born in Cum-
erland county, Pennsylvania, a
litte over fifty years ago. He
was educated at Prinston Uuivr-
sity, having been a member of
the same class of which Presi-
dent Wilson was a member Im-
mediately after finishing col-
lege, he came west and for a
number of years was engaged
in public school work after
wards entering the newspaper
business in which he is now en-
gaged, being the Editor of
the Cushing Daily aud Weekly
Citizen.
Mr- Green came to Oklahoma
aimost nine years ago and has
lived in Cushing during all this?
time^- He is, therefore, well
known in Payne County and in
some sections of Creek County
and where he is known he pos-
sesses the esteem of all for en-
ergy and absolute fairness. In
partnership with his son, he has
built up a fine business at Cush-
ing and has had a very success-
ful career there
Mr. Green is a man of splendid
education, is recognized t as a
speaker of ability, is remarka-
ably well posted as to puolic af-
fairs and the conditions which
now exist, and has had consider-
able experience in public life.
He will no doubt be elected, and
the eleventh district will have
no reason to be ashamed of their
Senator.
