Final Result Gives Wilson
272 Sure Electoral Votes!
The most important election in the history of this gov- j
emment is now history. On November 7th the thinking
people’of this nation spoke and said«to the party which] (has
been welded to special interests, Your {pilgrimage is at an
end, we are for Woodrow ^Wilson and Progressive
Democracy.
The idea that New York, Illinois and Indiana, states
heretofore had been regarded as' necessary for Democracy
before that party could electja Presidentiihas been banished.
The solid South, with the progressive West, 'has shown
these states that they, with their millions of dollars?are not
so many. The great agricultural territory ofj this/iation is
with Democracy.
The way the states voted will be found on page eight.
President Wilson has a total of 272 votes. Mr. Hughes 243.
