Howell, national democratic commit-
teeman from Georgia, conceded the
election of Mr. Taft. Howell gave
the A. P. the following statement;
Bryan has made a wonderful cam-
paign but he had not overcome the
prevailing Idea that business would
be hurt by Bryan’s election. As to
Georgia it is safely Bryan by about
20,000 majority.

telling off from the Roosevelt plural-

Massachusetts
BOSTON: The republican national
sad state candidates swept the state

were 're-elected. Both branches of the
legislature will be republican by heavy
margins. Early returns indicate a

Speaker Cannon has been re-elected
by his usual majority.
