hay last week
W. H. Graves is hauling hay from
the river bottom, while the roads
are good.
Geo. Poecock spent Sunday with
his hrother-in-law. Cal Piper.
Nora and Ruth Ellrod and Emma
Miles came home from Waynoka
Friday to spend Saturday and Sun-
day with parents.
A. G. Updegraff says he is re-
sponsible for this snow storm, for
he went hunting last Friday and
killed a cottontail. He says, well,
it's rabbit or no supper.
Last Saturday was quite a busy
day in Falrvalley. By 4:00 p m.
the streets were crowded. There
was hardly hitching room.
We are sorry to say that Miss
Myrtle Graves, who has just been
able to go to school two or three
days after a spell of sickness, has
taken what we suppose is a bad cold
in one of her eyes, which seems of
a very stubbory nature. Hope she
will soon be able to go to school
again.
Wheat pasture is getting about a
thing of the past around these dig-
gings. Hope when the snow goes
off it will make enough moisture
to start the wheat growing again.
Floyd Graves is sporting around
some on his new bicycle.
Miss Mate Updegraff went to
Alva Tuesday, returned Wednesday.
Mr. Eden butchered Monday.
Well, he knows when the girls all
get home from school for a holiday

spent a part of the past week with
her mother. Mrs. Edwards, near
Dacoma.
Mrs. Mary Riggs is quite poorly
at present writing.
Miss Lottie Sayre spent Saturday
with Miss Ruth Martin.
Miss Alta Mitchell has been
quite sick with pneumonia fever
several days.
Miss Sylvia Keff<y of this place,
and Mr. Roy Jeffries of Cuates, New
Mexico, were married in Carmen,
Monday, December 13th, 1914.
This happy young couple will de-
part soon for New Mexico, where
they expect to make their future
home. All extend congratulations.
Mrs. O C. Jack spent Thursday
afternoon with Mrs. Jas. Irons.
Mr. and Mrs. T. E. Irons expectt o
to go to Corpus, Christ!, Texas, in
a couple of weeks for the benefit of
Mr. Irons’ health. They will hold
a closing out sale before leaving.

visited one day recently with Mrs.
Mollie Keffer.
Mrs. Adda Martin and children
and Mrs. E. Smith and daughter
