DEMOCRATIC CANDIDATES
For Court Clerk
appointment and the senate at once
confirmed the appointment. If the
position was a perplexing one when
Garrison resigned it is doubly so now
that the Mexican situation is again
at fever heat. Ex-Secretary Garrison
has patriotically offered his services
to assist the new war secretary in
coping with the new situation and
his valuable offer has been cordially
accepted. It is a delicate and mo-
mentous condition that confronts
Secretary Baker, but the president
and the country is with him in his
arduous duties.

Senator Charels F. Barrett, man-
ager of the democratic press bureau
suggests that it would he a good
thing to have the democratis state
press association meet in Oklahoma

AVOID SPRING COLDS
Sudden changes, high winds, shift-
ing seasons cause colds and grippe,
and these spring colds are annoying
and dangerous and are likely to turn
into a chronic summer cough. In
such cases take a treatment of Dr.
King's New Discovery, a pleasant lax-
ative Tar Syrup. It soothes the cough
checks the cold and helps break up
an attack of grippe. Its already pre-
pared, no mixing or fussng. Just ask
your druggist for a bottle of Dr.
King's New Discovery. Tested and
tried for over forty years. 3

a big stock sale in Comanche county
There is noticeable throughout the entire country a largely in-
creased use of drapery fabrics in the furnishing of the home. This is
due to a more general knowledge of the value of color and its direct
effect on taste and temperament, for their use are of greater importance
in giving homelike character and style to a room than any other detail
of the furnishings.
Practically all materials are represented in this display, such as
Cretonnes, Reps, Chintz Cloths, Satines, Areola Cloths, Voiles, Plain
and Printed, Marquesettes, Lace Nets, Bobinets and many others.
The better description is to come in and see them.
