Broken Collar Bone
Monday of last week Wil
Brooks, of South Cimarron, was
out hunting and when he fired
one barrel the other also explod

barrel. He had a very sore right
shoulder wmch continued to pain
him, but he put in the remainder
;f last week chopping wood. On
Saturday he discovered that the
collar bone was fractured and
•ailed a physician who reduce!

After the services at the
church the remains were convey-
ed to their last resting place in
the Ripley cemetery followed by
1 large concourse of sorrowing
relatives and friends who sin-
cerely realized the fact that it
was the last opportunity of pay-
ing tribute to the deceased on
this earth. ___
Death of Mrs. Mains
Mrs. Sadonia Mains died Tues
day morning of pnemonia at her
home in Clayton township. She
was 74 years of age and had
been a resident of that township
or many year*, where she was
lovjd and respected by every-
body. She leaves six children to
aourn the death of a kind and
loving mother, four of whom
were with her when she passed
away, Jame* Porterfield and
Francis Mains, with whom she
,ived, Mrs. Rosa Waltman of
Clayton, and Wm Mams of Wei
lington, Kan Two daught-rs.
Mrs Emma Breakey of Kansas
City and Mrs. Sarah Myers of
Mayetta. Kan., were unable to
be present
Tbe funeral occurred Tuesday
j at Hden Chapel conducted by El
