The New York girl who mar-

parents, will soon have the op-
portunity to apply for a divorce
to save tjie remnant of her self
respect.-r-State Capital. It ap-
pears W us fhat she l6sther

to the marriage vows. When
she awakes to the necessity of
applying for a divorce she will
find that there is not even as

After all Henry Starr made a
serious mistake. He should
have become identified with the
state machine before engaging
in his present "business."Tulsa
World. No, not a mistake at
all, but rather a wise choice.
The aforsaid machine life would
^be too tame for him as shown
by the fact that he chose his
Present calling: wMie a nmch
more strenously acting; machine
was in operation, but which
perished when statehood came,
a machine the record of whose
doing's even yet brings the blush
of shame to all loyal Oklaho-
mans.
Judge Sharp, this morninsr is char-
ging up the loss of a $3.00 fee to some
rubber-necks, who by reason of their
butting into his court Tuesday were
the cause of his losing a $3.00 mar-
riage fee. Thos. H. Kingston, of St.
Louis aged 39 and Sallie B. Wier, of
Denver, Colorado, called upon Judge
Sharp Tuesday afternoon for a mar-
riage license and to have the .Judffe
perform the ceremony; but during
the time the license was being writ-
ten the rubber-necics began crowding
into the court room and the *room
and bride began to complain saying
that they wanted no newspaper re-
port or so much publicity and in-
quired of the Judge if license was
good anywhere and Judge said any-
where in the county and securing
license the couple slipped out of the
Court House and hunted up Rev.
Cook at the M. E. Parsonage and left
for Edmond on afternoon train as
man and wife.
