H. C. COBB & COMPANY.
Every city must have its drug
stores, and every large city must have
its wholesale drug stores. Muskogee
is especially lucky in the possession of
the above mentioned firm, and we can
not commend them to the notice of
our readers and friends too highly.
They are conveniently located at 116
North Main street.
They carry one of the largest, fresh-
est, cleanest and most modern drug
stocks to be found in the city. It is
a pleasure for us to be able to present
this worthy and representative house
to the attention of our readers.
They also handle toilet articles,
chemicals, school books, choice cigars
and notions. We cannot speak too
highly in commendation of the public
spirited management.
PARISIAN DYE WORKS.
Located at 310 West Broadway is
the complete and up-to-date plant of
the Parisian Dye Works. They are
general repairers, cleaners, pressers,
and dyers. The work turned out at
their institution is of the most excel-
lent quality and it is unapproached by
any other similar concern in the city.
Their prices are very reasonable and
their delivery service prompt. If you
are in need of service of this kind you
will make no mistake in giving tills
establishment a trial. They will be
glad to meet you at any time and to
accord you the most honorable and
fair treatment. The proprietors are
well known as up-to-date and conven-
tional citizens and as sagacious and
keen business men.
THE STREET FURNITURE CO.
This company carries a most desir-
able and up-to-date line of furniture
and house furnishings of all kinds, and
there is no similar concern in the city
which is held in higher favor by our
people and citizens in general. They
are located at 217-19-21 Okmulgee ave-
nue and their goods is first class in
every respect, and they are in a posi-
tion to save customers money on goods
in their line The people of Muskogee
will find this the most economical
place to buy furniture and stoves.
The management have dealt with fair-
ness and courtesy at all times, and it
is a pleasure to mention the name of
this company among those looked
upon by our members and other citi-
zens. No mistake is made in patron-
izing this very worthy concern.
HOOKER • HENDRIX HARDWARE
COMPANY.
A representative business concern,
dealing in hardware, iron, stoves, farm
implements, wagons and buggies,
paints and oils etc., is that of the
above mentioned concern whose up-to-
date establishment is located at 29
West Okmulgee. This house is well
known to hold a fair and reasonable
attitude toward labor and the cause
of labor, and all good union men
should foster and encourage the busi-
ness of these public spirited business
men and give them all the patronage
possible.
The management gives their per-
sonal and undivided attention to the
affairs of the concern. and they en-
joy a host of friends and an increasing
number of customers, a fact due to
the straightforward and conscientious
manner of dealing with customers.

Second street, and their establishment

they offer their goods especially ap-
peal to the pocketbook of the working
people. Neat and well made clothing
is a specialty. It is the unusual men
that make such a marked success In
any line. The advance of J. C. Welch
& Co. proves not only that they are
good judges of the class of goods that
Muskogee people want, but that they
treat every customer "above board"
and squarely. They enjoy a splendid
business at all seasons of the year and
slmp!y because they never allow their
goods to be out of season and they al
ways keep the latest fads and shades.

your money's worth and be well satis-

W. C. LANSFORD & CO.
This jewelry concern is located at
213 West Broadway, and they are one
of the largest dealers in this line of
goods in the city. Their stock is com-
posed of well selected goods and their
prices are always most reasonable. It
is a pleasure to know that there is
such a large and well managed con-
cern to add to the commercial and
financial stimulus of our city. This
company has a well managed repair
department and they are extensive
manufacturers of jewelry and large
handlers of precious stones. Some of
the finest work of the city has been
turned out here. They handle nothing
cheap or shoddy, but all of their goods
are of the very best quality and they
are always courteous and attentive to
the needs and wants of their custom-
ers. Their place of business is always
a scene of busy activity, and it Is a
fact that they have rendered the city
a splendid service. The management
by their hard efforts have produced
one of the finest concerns In the city.
We count them true friends of the
working people.
POOLE A CASEY.
This well known and popular firm la
located at 123 South Third street and
they are engaged in the general
plumbing business. When a plumber
enters the house the comforts of the
inmates thereafter depends largely on
the conscientiousness with which the
work has been done, and it is doing
nothing more than strict justice to
say that every customer who has be-
stowed patronage on this firm has
found no occasion for regret. The
founders or the business trace ajl their
success to this principle of never de-
ceiving a patron, substituting an in-
ferior article or turning out any but
the best work In their power to com
maud oi control.
Defective plumbing has played havoc
in many a home, but the case has vet
to be shown in which this well estab-
lished firm has ever received com
plaint or given cause for it.
MUSKOGEE LUMBER COMPANY.
One of the most prominent concerns
dealing in lumber in our thriving city
is the Muskogee Lumber Company.
They have built up one of the strong-
est and most successful concerns in
this section of the state. Their offices
are located on Times street, and it is
largely due to their everlasting low
prices, the excellence of their product
and the courteous manner in which
they treat every one that they have
built up their already large and con-
stantly Increasing patronage. They

The Muskogee Fruit Company are
dealers in nuts, candies, cigars and
tobacco, gum, crackers and cakes,
fruits and vegetables. And they are
also large handlers of cheese. They
are large and responsible dealers in
these very necessary commodities and
have long been known for the way
they have built up their already large
and non constantly Increasing trade.
They are keen competitors, and as
competition is the soul of business,
they are successful. They enjoy the
very best relations with the sources
of supply, and their trade Is not lim-
ited alone to Muskogee, but they act
as a distributing medium for much of
the outlaying districts and territory.
They have always treated their cus-
tomers with the utmost courtesy and
pains, and this is one of the things
that have made for much of the suc-
cess that they now enjoy. Their prices
are always right, and they cater to
the best trade In the city. If you are
in need of anything In their line you
will do well to pay them a visit and
give them a trial order.
FRED GICKELER.
Adding much to Muskogee's great-
ness is the very Important store of the
above named citizen, and to which we
here give brief editorial mention. He
has shown the true "Muskogee spirit"
progress, sagacity and courage. He
has met the demand for good shoes
with an alertness and accuracy that
is best shown by the growth and far-
reaching reputation of his store. His
very popular establishment is located
at 215 West Broadway, and is stocked
from cellar to garret with the finest
shoes for men, women and children to
be found anywhere in the city. The
genial proprietor, Mr. Fred Glckeler,
is known to hold the proper interests
in the affairs of the city and the prog-
ress of labor, and he is known to
treat his employes with genuine gen-
erosity. and we take great pleasure in
wishing him continued success.
KEYSTONE TAILORS.
"The apparel oft proclaims the
man." This is more true today than
ever before, and no self-respecting
man now will be careless in the mat-
ter of dress. Everybody in these times
realizes the necessity for being well
attired, and to supply the ever in-
creasing demand for good clothes en-
terprising men have engaged in the
business of tailoring. Foremost among
them in Muskogee is the establishment
known as the Keystone Tailors, lo-
cated at 119 North Third street. The
garments made by this concern have
the distinctive mark of style and fin-
ish. and this, coupled with the fact
that by reason of the enormous busi-
ness which they are doing, prices are
lower, quality considered, than their
competitors, accounts for the great
popularity of the Keystone Tailors.
DAVIDSON MILL & ELEVATOR CO.
This mill does a large and increas-
ing volume of business throughout this
entire section of the country, and it
is a well known fact that their pro-
ducts cannot be excelled. Their at-
titude toward labor, and the cause of
labor, has always been most fair and
honorable, and their products is in
great demand by our members. Their
force of practical employes are paid
the very best wages for their labor,
and they hold the management in the
highest terms. We gladly give them
most prominent mention in this, our
Annual Labor Review.
F. HAYS.
Tn the line of hats and caps the'
man that goes to F. Hays; place at

cause for regret, if he allows this
splendid citizen to give him a little i

The Muskogee Produce company is
located at 505 South Third street, and
they are general commission mer-
chants. Muskogee has many large
and important commission houses, but
the above named concern stands as
one of the oldest, most responsible,
and they are pioneers in this class
of trade. They are handlers of all
kinds of fruit, vegetables and pro-
duce, etc.. and they are general com-
mission merchants. Their business is
very extensive and enjoys a steady
increase. All over the state this con-
cern is held in the highest confidence,
and is synonymous with fair dealing
and honesty,
The management of this very pop-
ular concern are pioneers in this most
imporant branch of business and they
are well and favorably known to our
members and citizens at large. Their
dealings have always been character-
ized by supreme honesty and they are
well and favorably known throughout
this entire section. It is easy to pre-
dict for them a continuance of their
past success.
MINNETONKA LUMBER COMPANY.
The name of this concern stands
foremost among the leading lumber
concerns of Muskogee, and this estab-
lishment lias done a large part of the
business in their line in this section of
the country. They deal in lumber at
retail, and every order given to them
can be depended upon to receive pro-
per attention and to be filled as
wanted. The firm is ready to make
quotations on lumber at rock bottom
prices, and they have established for
themselves with consumers a reputa-
tion for desiring only a minimum fair
profit andof making the most prompt
deliveries, hence the enormous sales
which are being made by the Minne-
tonka Lumber Company. You are
cheating yourself if you do not first
consult this company when you are
Interested in getting lumber. Honesty
and integrity is their motto, and they
know only the most courteous treat-
ment of all customers.
Mr. C. A. Samson Is the genial man-
ager of this leading lumber concern,
and the offices of the company are lo-
cated at 11 East Okmulgee, and no
doubt much of the great success of
the company is due to this gentle-
man's popularity. His friendly posi-
tion on the question of labor is too
well known to need comment.
MUSKOGEE GAS A ELECTRIC CO.
Ever since the original divine com-
mand of "Fiat Lux" which ushered the
life-giving light upon all created
things, there has been a ceaseless
striving for more light by all human
ity. It is the pride of cities to excel
each other in being served with the
most modern and perfect light pro-
ducing systems, and it is the proud
boast of Muskogee that in this re-
spect there are no superiors and few
equals of the Muskogee Gas & Electric
company. And fully Important is the
fact that they give this unexcelled
service at a minimum rate and treat
every employe with liberal courtesy
and pay their entire Torce of clerks
and workmen a high scale of wages.
We have every reason to wish them
a continued and prosperous carecr.
ALAMO STATE BANK.
Banks are to the financial world
what irrigation reservoirs are to the
arid regions. From sources of plenty
they receive the funds which they
wisely and prudently distribute as the
exigencies of business requires. Such
banks as the Alamo State Bank are
of this class, which are properly to
be considered as a public benefaction.
Prudent, yet obliging; conservative,
yet progressive, this bank plays a mo-
mentous part in the financial and com-
mercial life of Muskogee. The magni-
tude of its business and the supreme
trust which is placed la It by the
solid business citizens is best shown
by its daily and Its regular statements.
The officers are Walter Howard,
president; E. H. Hubbard, vice-presi-
dent; Thomas H. Owen, vice-presi-
dent; John H. Dill, cashier, and B. R
Kaufman, assistant cashier. These
gentlemen are able financiers and hon-
orable citizens.
FIRST NATIONAL BANK.
Our city has long been noted for
Its safe and sound financial institu-
tions. And the First National Bank,
located at 119 North Main street, Is
one of the most substantial and sound-
est <T it. kind In the country. Their
banking looms are large and conimod
ions and they are noted for their at
teutlve and courteous treatment of
their customers. They carry on a gen-
eral banking business, issue letters of
credit, buy and sell oxchange. and they
solicit the patronage of coriioratlons,
firms and individuals.
The officers are F. C. Hubbard,
president; Jack L. Johnston, vice-pres-
ident; Asa E. Ramsey, cashier, and
Louis Duncan, assistant cashier. Per-
fection In management, adoption of
the latest and most modern banking
methods have made this bank one of
the respresentative Institutions of Its
kind in the country, and the position
it occupies among tile prominent con-
cerns of our city cannot be too highly
estimated. This bank is ever enjoying
a continuance of its already large and
well satisfied patronage.
BANNER STEAM LAUNDRY.
In no line has there been the im-
provement and advancement that
there has been in the manufacture of
laundry machinery, and this laundry
has been quick to take advantage of
such improvement as soon as its
merits were established.
It Is their method of laundering that
has won for them the patronage of
the very best class of trade In Mus-
kogee, and their ever Increasing busi-
ness is the best evidence of this en-
dorsement. Besides laundering per-
sonal wearing apparel In the most
satisfactory and improved way, they

PANY.
Holding a high place in the fore-
front of the leading Institutions which
have contributed to give Muskogee Its
commercial completeness is the Mus-
kogee Roller Mill Company. This
prominent concern has one of the
largest and best equipped cereal and
flour mills in the country, and their
products are noted for their excel-
lence. This company has done a large
share of the business in the local
field, showing plainly that their sup-
plies are accepted as a standard of ex-
cellence, and it is a pleasure to find

cles of Muskogee and they have won

MUSKOGEE PAINT & GLASS CO.
As dealers In paints, oils, painters'
supplies, etc., the Muskogee Paint &
Glass Company has achieved a repu-

building trades. This company has
one of the largest and best selected

well as oils, pigments, varnishes,

in this line is one of the largest ex-

cord their customers, and the modern
system with which they order the af-
fairs of their very large and profit-
able business. They maintain one of
the largest stores In the city and are
situated in the Colorado building on
West Okmulgee street. They have
had the distinction of filling some of
the largest contracts in this city, and
their prices are always made con-
sistent with the values they offer.

they are esteemed as citizens and
business men of unquestioned integ-

MIDLAND MILL & ELEVATOR CO.
In this review of the worthy indus-
tries and concerns of our city we have
cited several cereal and flour manu-
facturing institutions. We can but re-
fer to the institution named above as
one of the utmost prominence and
true worth. This concern Is located
on South L street and Is one of the
largest of its kind In the city. They
are manufacturers of and dealers In
high grade cereals and flour, and have
always been noted for the excellence
of their products. They employ a
large force of help, and they pay noth-
ing but the highest wages, their em-
ployes speaking of them In the most
praiseworthy manner.
Mr. C. J. Wlolaver is the local man-
ager, and it is largely due to his ex-
cellent management, his courtesy to
customers and employes and the ex-
cellence of the line that he handles
that they have built up the large and
increasing patronage they enjoy In
this section. We bespeak for them
an even greater success In the future
than they have bad the pleasure of
enjoying in the past.
SMITH'S BAKERY.
We are always glad to patronize bus-
iness establishments which are oper-

and that when the one is prosperous
the other must also be. The above
concern has Invested a large amount
of capital in the business of dealing
in retail groceries, etc.. and we should
do everything in our power to Increase
the great success which they have al-
ready attained In this creditable en-
terprise, and to give to them our in-
fluence and support.
This concern carries a very largo
stock of groceries and is prepared to
fill orders with promptness and dis-
patch and on terms that will meet
any competition.

E. M. WOLF COMPANY.
Of the growth and prosperity of
Muskogee no better evidence la
needed than to be found in the con-
ditions of the various business
houses in all lines of trade. The
individual prosperity of our mer-
chants Indicates the substantial con-
dition of trade and industry through-
out the city and surrounding terri-
tory.
One of the establishments we de-
sire to call special attention to Is
