As the silver moon was shedding its
brightest beams over the city, and light-

frost that was spreading over the wood-
land and prairie, the spectral ghosts of
Hallowe'en were seen Hitting here and

j groups and found their way to the Con-
gregational churah on the east side,
where a large crowd awaited their com-
ing. Everybody seemed to be in the
inood for a good time, and when we ar-
rived at tho church we found it crowded
with as happy a fun provoking audience
as ever honored the ghosts of Hallowe'en.
Am ng all young and old i spirit of
mirth prevailed, and happy greetings
and joyous laughter was heard on every
hand. The special feature of the even-
ing wis the "Ghost Wedding.*' Tho
bride was Miss Manie Burch and the
bridegroom Mr. doe Burch. The bride
was attired in the real bridal costume
of .Mrs. Paessler in which she was mar-
ried -•"> years ago. It is very beautiful
but looks a little odd now in comparison
with the extremes of fashion of the pre-
[sc-i.t day. The original bride was pre-
sent not "old and gray and wrinkled as
s ittcd" but as young and jolly and
happy as any present. The bridegroom
was attired in oriental costume.
The bride and groom looked hand-
some and happy and were united in
marriage in a ver* pleasing manner by
