Burton to Roast Sugar Trust
Topeka, Kan., May 9.—Former Uni-
ted States Senator J. R. Burton, who
was recently released from jail at
Ironton, Mo., where he served a sen-
tence for improper practice before the
departments in behalf of a St. I^otils
get rich quick concern, will deliver a
public address at Garden City tomor-
row evening. It is reported that his
speech will deal particulorly with the
sugar trust and Its relation to the
beet sugar industry. Senator Bur-
ton attributes his prosecution to the
fight he made on the sugar trUBt while
a member of the senate. He Is uow
buBily engaged in completing arrange-
ments for his newspaper, which will
appear this month.

six vacancies in the position of labo-

Stokes and the entire state board ot
education and will suggest plans for
additional buildings and industries at
Ironsides, the state school for negro
youths at Bordentown. An appro-
priation of $20,000 has been made for
this purpose as the beginning of a sec-
ond Tuskegee in New Jersey.
