Intended Chastisement.
The presence in New York of Mitch-
ell, once boxing champion of England,
recalls an incident in the strenuous
career of the late "Stove" Brodie,
who jumped from the Brooklyn bridge
nearly a scorc of years ago to glory,
prosperity and histrionic fame. Brodie
visited London in the early nineties,
