Expects to Regain Alien's favor
The reason for this attitude oo the
part of Mrs. Jenkins is that she con-
'onfldeotly expects to win hack Allen.
Within a fortnight the young woman
has told friend* she could regain tost
ground If she could but obtain an au-
dience with her former# benefactor
This she hopes to get. The one thing
that stands in the way ia the Investi-
gation reative to the smuggled jewels.
Bhe fears Allen will not forgive her
for her part in bringing him into the
case, but she has said that even In
face of the exposure he will take her
back

It Is also stated that the tame man
conceited the plan whereby Judge W

as a foil for several months with such
good effect that Alien became Insanely
jealous of him and spent large sums
replacing preeents Mm. Jenkins al-
leged the Judge had given her.

Jenkins and her adviser got short of
money they would have an automobile

This would enrage Allen and he
would tell her he would buy her any-

pair tried to work th# game nth a
peer shaped diamond pendent obtain-
ed at Tiffany's. Unfortunately for
them the jewel appeared oa a report
handed to Allen by his private detec-
tives and he ceased to be her 'angel.'
Judge Folz, It appears was about
tbe only visitor at the Jenkins' apart-
ment who got away without paying
liberally. He is elderly, with a crip-
pled leg and a vast fond of common
sense. He met Mrs. Jenkins through
a woman named Russell, and made
several calls on her before he seen fed

Vale, also appeared at the fiat occa-
