llelegute Flynn of Oklahoma, came
1,1 Wednesday morning from the In-
.Han territory wl.er. lie has been look-
ing after-some business matters, say
the Kansas City Journal. He spent
I most of the day in Topcka, where lie
ran up against the KuiiMtb state and
federal pie chasers, and returned in
the evening. II- will remain at the
Coate. House until his family arrives
from Uutbrle, when he will join them
for Washington.
Mr. Flynn says lie is simply beaten,
unit that the election is already an-
elent history He is trying to stir up
some houet t business and an honest
dollar.
(in reaching Washington he will re-
gime the light for free homes, trying
to get his bill, which passed the house,
through the senate. A rding to
the Speaker Heed, in his Wichita
speech, the vole of Oklahoma at the
lust election would tell whether or
not they want free homes According to
the vote, the people do not want free
homes but Mr. Flynn Insixtt that lit
will force the unpleasant legislation
upon them if hcean, anyway
Hut with the president and tin
glorious free silver senators of the
beautiful mi.I enterprising south op-
posing free homes, and to this added
the argument <>f the late election
which will face the republicans, trou-
blt*R seem t<> l>o uccuiuulu-tinif.
The mule and watermelon senators
have always opposed the west, begin-
ning with the homestead laws, and
from that section came all the oppo-
sition except that offered by the ad-
ministration.
N„W that the vote of the people of
Oklahoma,is in line with the "mule
and watermelon" senators, some of h.
former potent friends of free homes
