BUTCHER & WELCH,
Your Place in the World.
Somewhere out in the world is a
place for you, and no one can fill it
hut yourself. No on can take up
your work and do it for you. N on
alone must assume the responsibility
of performing the work committed
into your hands bv the Infinite Crea-
tor. Be knows just what place In
life you can best till and the kind oi
work you ought to do.
Of course, there are certain prcpn
rations made on your part before
you engage in the Masters work
that is, the work that comes after
vou begin to prepare for it. It is the
beginning of work to prepare for its
performance, and so if you begin to
lit yourself to enter upon your life
service, you arc already engaged in
it. Duty will lead you along, for this
is one of Coil s brightest angels al-
though it often assumes a stern as-
pect and loads in opposite ways
from which you wish to go. "This
is the way, walk ye in it," is not al-
ways a pleasant command when you
wish to go in some other way. Hut
duty will lead you to your place in
the world and to your life work il
you will let it do so.
It is very important that you lili
your place in oti acceptable mannei
and with credit to yourself. Hy ac-
cepting Christ in your life in youth's
fair morning you will be prepared,
for this first step is the most impor-
tant one in all your world's journey.
With Christ for your guide, you will
tind your true place, for duty is al-
ways obedient to His will. Do not
think of finding your place in the,
world without the hoi f of this
Divine Friend. Accept His aid early
- in life, and you will grace your po-
sition in the world.—A. R . iu Word
and Works.
A Fiendish Attack.
An attack was lately made on C 1*.
Collier ol Cherokee, la., that nearly
proved fatal. It came through his
kidneys. His bavk got so lame he
could not «toop without great pain,
nor sit ia a chair except propped by
cushions. N > remedy helped him un-
til he tried Electric Hitters which
effected such a wonderful change
that he writes he feels 1 i•<e a new.
This marvelous medicine cures back-
ache and kidney trouble, purifies the
blood and builds up your health. fiOc

take care of tho editor, so don t

'■ 11 taker, money to run a news-
paper."—The St. John (Kansas)
News.
What an exaggeration! What a
big whopper! It has been dis-
proved a thousand times; it is a
clean case of air fancy. It don t
take money to run a newspaper: it
can run without money. It is a
charitable institution, a begging
j concern. The newspaper is a child .
of air, a creature of a dream. It can
go on and on and on, when any
other concern would be in the hands
of the receiver and wind up with
cobwebs in the window.
It takes wind to run a newspaper;
wind, half n dozen white shirts, and
a railroad pass. Hut money
Heavens to Susan and sir hands
around, who on earth ever heard of
I such a thing? Kind word3 are the
medium of exchange that does
business for an editor, [vied woids
and church social tickets. When
you ses an editor with much money,
watch him. He'll be paying his'
bills and disgrace his profession.
When you die, after standing
around for years and sneering at
the editor ard his little jim crow-
paper, be su?e to have your wife
to send in after three extra copies,
but forewarn hsr not to offer to piy
for them. Mor.^y is a corrupting

what he wants is your heartfelt
