went on record that it would stand be-

ecutions, though it insists that he be
removed from office if he shaws parti-
ality and proceeds to persecute the
democrats. According to the resolu-
tions, four ex-republican coun y office
holders are short. The statute, of limi-
tation has about, expired on one of
them it is claimed.
