The Final Clean-Up of Many Lines Saturday
With the incoming of caar after ca e of new merchandise—the Clean Up Lots are fast disappearing. The reduc-
tions have been remarkable, the clean-up has been almost complete. The few lines mentioned here for Satur-
day selling if closed out will rid the store of all odds, ends, etc. The daily arrival of new goods being shown
in every department and the final clean up lots should make this a most interesting store; especially for Satur-
day's shoppers.

South Bend, Ind., Aug. 26.—His pet
hobby, the "square deal," and honest
citizenship were subjects spoken on
by Theodore Roosevelt in several
speeches yesterday as he was crossing
the states of Ohio and Indiana. He
spoke at Conneaut, Ashtabula, Cleve-
| land, Elyrla and Toledo, in Ohio, and
Kendallville, Elkhart and South Rend
in Idlana.
"The great question we have to
face," said Roosevelt, "is to shape
things so that every American citizen
shall have a fair chance to earn his
living and lead his life under the best
and most favorable conditions, that
he shall be protected in his rights
and prevented in wr. ging others in
turn."
At every place he stopped the ex-|
president was greeted with cheers
from crowds gathered long before the
scheduled time for Roosevelt's train
to arrive.
At Toledo the train was detained
for half an hour and Roosevelt put in
the whole time talking. He spoke of
the duty of corporations to its em-
ployes and the public, and deprecated
mob rule in the plainest terms.
"We cannot allow mob rule," he
