ON TRIAL
Dan Smith of Choctaw City is
being tried before Judge Harper
in the probate court today, charged
with selling liquor without a licence.
There are 14 witnesses here from
Choctaw City.
Idella Hart the woman who is
I said to have drawn a knife upon
; Sam Savage a drayman, on East
I Grand avenue a few days ago, was
j fined $10 and costs in police court
j this morning.
According to Savage's story, he
I contracted to move the woman's
trunk and grip for 25 cents and she
gave him the wrong number He
alleged that he lost an hour's time
and demand $1.50 for his services.
Savage stated that the woman
siezed the grip from the w«gon say-
ing 'stand back,' at the same time
drawing a knife from undfjr her
clothes
