Newton Youngblood, the 16 year-
old farmer hoy, suspected murderer
of (). P. Murphy near Edmond,
Wednesday night, was arrested by
D. puty Sheriff Mike Casey of Okla-
homa C ity, 3 miles south of Ana-
darko, last night, about 8 o'clock,
while Youngblood is said to have
been driving Murphy's team south-
ward.
Sheriff Garrison received a mess-
age from Casey this morning stating
the above facts, also that he will ar-
rive in the city with his prisoner to-
night upon the train. The team is
being brought to the city overland
and will perhaps arrive sometime to-
morrow.
It is not known whether or not,
Youngblood has made a confession
of the crime.
Murphy was found in his cow lot
Thursday morning with a bullet hole
in breast and his remains were hor-
ribly disfigured by being tramped
upon by the cattle kept therein.
The murder was reported to the
sheriff Thursday-afternoon and Cas-
ey detailed to work upon the case.
Y'oungblood, Murphy's hired
hand, also the dead man's team
were missing immediately after the
body was found.
Casey traced the team and wagon
