Washita Wildhorse Watershed

Description: Photograph of creekbottom below Site 34, Wildhorse Creek Watershed. This field, with heavy timber, and subject to overflow before this flood prevention structure was built. Owner felt it was feasible to clear, except for pecan trees, and put in cultivation after site was constructed. This practice is taking place on thousands of acres in Wildhorse area where construction has been completed. Photo taken on top of detention dam.
