the dlstrlot court room. HA. John-
son of Perry and Judge J. L. Brown

legislation.

lina was thoroughly discussed. This

stood that the committee was about to
make a report on the McOinnls-Brod-boll
contest. When ibe lutntnlttoe

the chair and Senator Duffy chairman
arose and made the following report:
Mr. President. The 'committee on
elections having had under lonstdern-
tlon tho matter of the contest proceed-
ings instituted by S. A. McOinnts
against H. C. It. Brodboll for the neat
of councilman for the First council
district of Oklahoma territory in the
Sixth legislative assembly of said ter-
ritory beg leave to report thnt we
have carefully examined the allega-
tions of the contestant and tho con-
testee therein and the evidence sub-
mitted therein and we recommend
that said contest be In all things dis-
missed. The evidence Is submitted
herewith.

and nine members of the hatohet
brigade wrecked the "Senate" saloon
this morning canning a Ions of two
thousand dollars. Tho saloonista ex-
pected the visit about eight but tho
brigade arrived at six. In the "Son-
ate" only one porter was on guard.
When he saw Mrs. Nation and her
followers he grabbod a revolver nnd
fired two shots at Mrs. Nation ut her
feet. Both missed. Mrs. Nation thou
smashed the big mirror with her
hatchet. Two of four men tn the party
seized the porter and held him while
tho destruction proceeded. The sliotB
attracted n crowd which followed Mrs.
