The Oklahoma City Times-Journal
says :
In the district court today John W.
Shartell as attorney for H. E. McTag-
gart filed a petition praying that a re-
ceiver be appointed to take charge of
the assetB of the Oklahoma National
bank and the Canadian Trust com-
pany naming a number of other prom-
inent business men as parties to the
defense of the suit In the petition
allegations are made that there is a
plan on foot to sell the assets of said
bank and trust company for 29000 to
Henry Gerson R. J. Edwards and J.
H. Wheeler when the assets are fully
worth 40500; that the petitioner owns
ten shares of the capital stock ef said
companies and unless a receiver is ap-
pointed and the sale stopped he will
suffer a loss on the value of his stock.
Several allegations in the petition are
to the effect that the liquidating com-
mittee of the bank have used the
bank's assets to purchase the stock of
the bank at a great decrease from par
and that they are attempting to use
this stock to make the sale. The prop-
erty In question Is the bank building
