been captured by tho British relief
forces. Dranflcld was abandoned by
the lloero.
Durban Feb. 20. Tho Beer com-
mand which recently invaded Zulu-
land is eaid to bo retiring.
London Feb. 20. A report thet
Oronje is completely Burrounded has
been received hero but there is no
confirmation of it at tho war office.

yesterday says: " Heavy fighting is
reported today around Kimberloy
where Cronjo is said to bo holding his

About five o'clock this morning an
eld mn namod Kolly was robbed of
his wallet containing about S20 The
theft occurred in tho rooming estab-
lishment over the White Star saloon.
Mr. Kolly Is tho father 'of ono of the
boys concerned In tho Shultz mule
caao and irrived in the city from Mis-
souri yesterday. Last night ho met
eomo old Missouri friends at the
Clipper saloon. The party broke up
at a lato hour and Kolly was invited
to sharo the bed of a man named
Smith who had engaged a room In
tho place mentioned. About 5 o'clock
this morning tho fellow arosQ and
touched tho old man for his roll of
bills. Mr. Kelly discovered it missing
about two hours later and notified tho
police who found tho follow in a
room over tho Clipper saloon. II o was
searched but no money was found and
it is supposed ho gavo tho roll to ono
of tho inmates for safo keeping.
