merchants of Savannah Ga. yesterday promised a review of
the.Seventh army corps at that place on December 15. The
Savannah counci" twice refused to extend an invitation hold-
ing that McKiuley'u negro appointments were the cau e of the
recent riots.

caused by several intoxicated regroes of the 28d Kansas and
other regiments of colored immunes trying to steal a pig. Ser-
geant Ferrer one of his men and a Cuban planter were shot
while trying to quell the disturbance Gen. Wood went to San
Luis on a special train. He has offered a thousand dolltus for
the names of the men implicated.

informed of the action of the court of cassation. The court haa
determined to dema d tho secret dossier despite the protesta-
tions of General Chanoioe. Several other generals urged
Premier Dupuy to prevent the dossier from going before the
court but all attempts were unsuccessful.
Paris November 10. Papers regard yesterday's decision of
the court of cassation as a step toward revision for Dreyfus.
Figaro says Col. Piquart will be among the fir.-t witnesses to be
examined and that his secret will then be revealed.

terday through M. Ferjns president of the Cayenne court of
appeals who will act aa the representative of the Paris court
