tiago obtained from the insur-
gents' camp shows the present
location of the defenses togeth-
er with the entire Spanish fleet
in the harbor except the de-
stroyer Terror close up to the
city and under protection of the
guns on Blanco battery at the
northern extremity of the har-
bor. The vessels are according
to the map the Cristobal Colon
Vizcaya the Almiranle Omendo
Maria Teresa and Reina. Mer-
cedesthe last named having
been sunk since the chart was
made together with three tor
pedo boats.
