develops that there aro four factions
in tho territory slugging each other
for spoils. First there Is thol'lynu-

tho old soldier combination. Just at

Whllo tho old soldier crowd is londing

How the Faction Fight.
From all appearances tho Flynn peo-

prompted by malice or hatred but
merely to keep its readers In touch
with political matters which thoy can
not find in Republican papers In the
first place Mr Flynn has his oyes fixed
on a gubernatorial job. To declare
himself a candidate now would upcut
tho plans of all his supporters and also
paralyze thom financially. Therefore
Mr. Flynn remains in tho background
scouts the idea of further political
emoluments and causes the territorial
Republican central committee con-

forward Joe McNeal. Now McNcal
wouldn't know what to do with a
gubernatorial lay-out If he had one
unless it could be put up as collateral.
He wants to be territorial treasuror

Two years ago the total vole In the ter-

Flynn ( Rep.) 80.4U9; Heaumont (I'op.) IV

opposition vote of flsaumont and Wlaby
would amount to 20.4UX The Republican
voto being 2O.SI0 would leave a balaneelu

From tho poll of the territory as hereto-

party lines the above vote would be di-
vided as follow: Republicans 87000
I'opullsta 15.S0U and Democrat 10500.

bard to comprehend and fU a fair esti-
