TO QUASH
HASKELL
Charge that Improper In
fluence was Used oa
the Jury
Special Express Telegram.
McAlester Okla. Aug. 14. Governor
Haskell's motion to quash the Indict
merits against him and five others in
the land cases will be filed Monday be
ing postponed today because of
slight alteration In the document which
contains approximately ten thousand
words.
It is believed in state circles that th
motion will be sustained.
The motion will allege that the jury
which returned the indictments was
subjected to improper influences by
Federal Prosecutor Gregg and his as-
sistants. For the sams reason the second jury
which considered the cases was dis-
charged. '
The jury indicting Haskell was th
third to undertake the cases the first
jury being voided because of too many
members.
