CHURCH PROGRESS
The Congregational Church is
growing rapidly in all departments
and in the six or eight months of
it life lias made rapid strides to-
ward a strong organization. The

which will given in connection
with the Christina exercise. The
school is also beginning work on
"The Cornerstone Fund;" the
first contribution Toward the new
5ooo church that i soon to be
begun.
The social work of the church is
carried on by an able Ladies Auxi
liary which conducts a fortnightly
social and is also preptnng to as
sist in raising funds for the new
church. A Christian Endeavor So
ciety will soon be organized among
the young people.
The absorbing interest of the
whole church is now centered on
the new church building. This if
a necessity both to the immediate
work of the church and to the mor-
al and material advancment of our
city. Flans are being made for a
building to cost not less than $5000.
The building will probably be of
stone as good as modern genius
can tnke it and equipped with ev
ery modern convenience for doing
the institutional work that the fu-
ture of this church will iCtjuire.
