stand composedly and told ail
about "her husband having
brought Gordon to their apart-
met.t May 8th. the day before
the killing and demanding that
he "tell all about the assault and
apologise."
Mrs. Cobb denied that her hus-
band had displayed great anger
or that he had exhibited a pistol
a was testified yesterday by
Gordon. She Kaid that knowing
Cobb had a gun in hi pocket
she asked him to "put it up'
and that he had laid it on a bed.

but Cobb grabbed it and tiny

which Cobb laid it on a dresser.

Cobb replaced the gun la his
pocket but again reached for It.
Gordon testitoed. whereupon he drew
his own weapon borrowed the. day

Gordon waa on the stand for
nearly an hour. He declared that
he had never met CoUb until the
day before the shooting when the
Alabama student sought him out In
the college library and accused htm
of keeping company with Mrs. Cobb.
Cordon testified that he had denied
the accusation to Cobb but that he
had agreed to go to the rooming
house where the Cobb's lived in an
effort to prove his innocence.
