A MOT.

yesterday afternoon two police patrol
wagon rolled out from tbe Atlantic Rail-
way Company' (table on Atlantic ave-
nue near Third avenue. In each were
thirteen policemen and eight new em-
ployes ot the company wbo wore to bo
taken to other iijbles. Twonty mounted
policemen fortnsv. an escort. A large
crowd gathered about the stables and
then tbe wagons started; tbs crowd
became a mob bowling and swearing and
throwing stones at ths policemen and
their charge. Tbe wagons nod honemoa
pressed briskly on ths mob tollowlng
and gaining In numbers and fury
every minute. Finally the processioa
was baited on Twenty-third ttreot.

cant for work rn tho tled-up lines were
beaten by strikers or sympathizers and
the tracks obstructed. During tbe night
tbe cover plate on the automatic switch
at the corner ot Atlantic and Fifth avenuos
were carried away but whether by strik-
er or not I not known.
The strikers are demanding ot the Rail
way Commission and ot Governor Hill
tbat ths company's charters be annulled
and tbe aldermen ot Brooklyn yesterday
listened to a resolution of tbs same dispo-
