a bruilish spirit living in a hu-
man frame a black heart be-
neath a while skin is the most
nbomnable thing that occupies
a place in space. The "Wana-
maker and Washington dinner
proves the statement said in
previous writings 1 said it was
heart trouble and not race troub-
le that terrorized annoyed and
embarrased our southern states;
the hearts of Washington and
Wanamaker being of the same
color and they can safely satis-
factorily peaceably and agree-
ably live in the same country
abide by the same laws love
and protect the same flag ride
in the same cars dine al the
some table attend the same
church worship the same God.
My. Wanamaker's heart being
modled by the laws of truth and
justice seeks associates of his
kind; it is as much impossible
to have among you a white
hearted man who will not seek
white hearted pure hearted no-
ble hearted big hearted associ-
ates such as Booker T. Wash-
ington as it is to have fire with-
out heat
The centrifugal and centripe-
tal forces plal their designated
part in caring for creation nor
while Clod lives and holds the
reigns of the solar system that
is running pell-mell through
space can this so-called race
trouble be solved until those
dirty vicious corrupted out-
rageously black hearts that hide
beneath white skins are whiten-
ed is completely destroyed.
Some one may think want so-
cial equality 1 never did or nev-
er wilbsoek social equality but
1 want justice and all that be-
longs to it. truth and all its as-
sociates right and all its prop-
ties. Christianity 'a n d all its
teaching the latest and purest
form of society and if this bring
or include social equality let it
come. 1 welcome it as a God
send.
Say reader ahow me to reas-
on with you let's see can we
define or namo the elements of
pure society first we must ad-
mit that Christianity is the
source the origin the founda-
tion and the basis of any perfect
or pure- society has Christianity
ever known anyone except from
or by his inward principle.
How long are we going to al-
low ourselves to be plagued an-
noyed harrassed and tormen-
ted by that ferocious host of
heinous critics who are trying
to prove the Washington and
Wanamaker dinner to be a blun-
der an error or an insult to so-
cial circles; can we not show
them can we not teach them
can we not correct them can we
not rescue them can we not re-
deem them can we not prove to
them that we live in a progress
ive age can they not keep pace i
with the rapidity of the twenti-
eth century do they not know
this fact we are now living
in the dawn and beginning of a
new century fdo they nst know
the natural order of things is to
go upwards and onwards to-
wards perfections do they not
know that the ideas fashions
practices and proverbs of the
nineteenth century must neces-
saryly be chloroformed and the
slow funeral train of time will
bear them back in the cemetery
of antiquity and the proud
hands of youth and wisdom will
rear up in their stead greater
grander nobler ideas purer
views loftier sentiments than
ever before enhance the souls of
men to live in this age has a re
sponsibility equal to its sublimi-
ty every generation brings
about unexpected reforms' so-
cial religious and political so-
cieties must necessarily be re-
modeled to keep pace with the
improved man' truth must be
brought out of falsehood light
out of darkness virtue out of
vice sereneness out of terror
reality out of pretention the
dogmatic hand of tyrany must
be stayed wherever found ar-
rested shackled and put in
prison cells and justice must
reign in his stead; a natural
.druth is that birds of the same
feather beast of the same na-
ture and outward appearance
men of the same inward princi-
ples flock togother; birds know
their associates by their feath-
er brutes know their associates
by their outward appearance;
an improved man knows his as-
sociates by his inward princi-
ples. Any man who chooses
his associates by the color of the
skin or outward appearance of
a brutish nature a pure case' of

3Iy deai" sir:
The vote on November sev-
enth for constitution of the state
Sequoyah will determine in a
large measure the voting popu-
lation of the Indian Territory.
If Congress admits Sequoyah
as L believe will be done then
this vote will determine the vo-
ting strength of Counties and
the wish of' the people as to
County seats.
If Congress makes a joint
state as some of our people be
lieve this vote whether YES oi
NO will be used to dotermine
the relative representation of
Indian Territory in a Joint
Constitutional C o n v e"n ti o u.
Whether you are in favor of
Joint Statehood you will realize
the force of this observation.
I ask you therefore to give
publication to this letter until
