Who? Yes! Who?
Who wants to get rich? Everybody. Who is
going to got Tich? Only tho prudent hard-work-'
ing hustler who saves his mtnoy nnd puts It to
work for him. You can't amass a fortune by say-
ing alone you 'have to mako your dollars cam
more dollars. They certainly won't earn anything
tied up in an old sock or buried. Put your dollars
in a good reliable bank like ours. Let them work
with our dollars. Teach them to hove' "cents."
They like to wo-k. ''Give them a good job. We

A Further Extension to Sub-
scribers. Only within the past week have
the mails been at all regular and
even yet they are not back to
normal conditions many of our
readers who live a few miles out
reporting that they can scarcely
get mail at all. For that reason
wo are going to givo a further
extension of time to those sub
scribers whose time expired
January 1st or since and no
names will be dropped from our
list' unless we are notified to do
so until mail conditions are back
to normal. Notices will be sent
all delinquents later. We want
to be just as lenient as possible
but we have no intention of abol-
ishing our Cash-in-advanco sys.
tem so if you know your time
has expired or is about to expire
come in and renow.

produced In Beaver county too. Our

the front in swine production of the
better class.

8AVK FOR LOST RIGHT ARMS
"I'd ctvo my rlirht arm to nut that
plg-hcndod kaiser out of business."
Does tho nbovo remark havo a
familiar ring to it? Can't you recall
hearing some enthusiastic neighbor
saying something like that back in
tho early days of our War with Wll-
helm? Or possibly you may have
said it yourself. It was a common re-
mark. Well. '.Tho kaiser Is out of busi-
ness. Putting him out of business
cost a great many right arms right
arms of fine stalwart American boys
too. Hundreds of these boys will be
coming back homo as soon as they are
ablo to leaye the base hospitals in
France.
And then what?
Then it will be up to you and. to all
of us and to our government to re
educate these young men retain their
left arms "and their minds In callings
that will be now to them; re-educate
the returned crippled soldiers in call-
ings thaCwill make them once more
self-supporting. Neither the nation
nor the aoldlors can afford to havo re
turned sdldiors Idle. For this re
education! hundred of 'thousands ot
uuiiurs muni 00 spent ruruim pur-
pose some of tho Victory Liberty
Loan must bo raised.
Get ready for this last loan. Got
ready to lend for the lost right arms
of tho lads who gave these arms in
defense of your liberty z. liberty
that cost them dearly IndutM.
Snvo up for tho Victory ' Liberty
Loan.
In tho Fourth Llbcray Loan Beav-
er county's quota was $49800.00
Wo subscribed $80400.00. It la not
knowh yet just what our share of the
Fifth Liberty Loan wh'lch Is to bo the
VICTORY LIBERTr LOAN will be
but when ltis announced and the
Drive Is made. Tho Herald predicts
that our people will again pitvc
themselves 100 per cent patriotic and
go "Over the Top" with a scream
equal to the eclobratlun when peace
was announced. We were for putting
that "pig-headed kaiser out of busi
ness' and we are still for keeping him
out of business. Beaver county will
prove her red-blooded Americanism.
We'll wager on that.
BEAVER CARRIERS OFF BASKET

The Beaver girls' basket ball team
met tho Woodward girls' team here
Friday and Saturday nights in live
ly games at the Phelps Brothers ga
rage carrying off tho honors In both
games at a big score over tholr op-
ponents. The visiting girls took their
doreat good naturodly and displayed
nono of the ill feeling which I too
oRcn evident with doreat. They
proved themselves good losers which
Is very creditable The rudeness
and ill-bohavlor which is very often
displayed by tho losers spoils tho
sport of the game but not bo with
the Woodward girls. They proved
themselves young ladles ot culture
and rerinement and a team which
Beaver will ever be glad to meet.
