us to grow warm under the collar than to Bee the
farmer caricatured as a "rube" with alfalfa chin
whiskers holding an ancient pitch fork and plaqid
)y chewing a stem of grass.
It's a libel on the best class of people in
America. The farmer never was a "rube" and is
farther fr.om it to:day than over before. He has a
better home more money invested in his busi-
ness than half the smart ''boobs" who try to mis-
represent him. Some of our heaviest depositors
and directors nre farmers. They are men of-
affairs. You can't fool them. They know a g 6d
bank when they see one.

CONGESTED (?) TRAFFIC n
Last week's Democrat" be walWI

of congested (7) traffic. Tookrc
thoughts he jKuaht bo able thoni:b.
not sure) to Vet it in time for thlc
week's Issue. Tho Herald has a hick
on that congested (?) trnfflc deal
the Democrat's. Early In the week wt
were notified that Tho Herald's ship-
ment of paper had arrived "shipper'
older" We got busy right now for
our stuff don't como that way. W-
pay our bills and when Tlfo Herald Jr
bo punk thnt there Is no patronge to
meet our honest obligations we quit.
We lather suspected the railroad
company had gotten our shipment
confused with the Democrat's and
finally located an invoice with bill at-
tached for that concern at one of the
local banks but nothing for The Her-
ald. Tho tact was reported to the
ft eight agent and he discovered thnt
ho had been holding Tho Herald's
shipment by erior Instead of the
Demociat stuff. Wo got print paper
all right.
Congested (?) traffic didn't delay
our stuff.
Try paying your paper bills Tooker
and 'ou won't bo bothered so much
with this "congested traffic"
