BEAVER COUNTY OKLAHOMA. THURSDAY
New Railroad to Ute North
west.
Beyond auy question of common
sense or business calculations there Is
need of a railroad from northwestern
Oklahoma Into Oklahoma City. It
would not be oxpenilvo to build and
It would bo profitable If built and
would be a great benefit to the coun-
try it would serve and all that is nee
estary to sccuro tho building of this
road Is for Oklahoma City and the
country to bo traversed to the north-
west to Interest themselves to a reas-
onable extent no mora than many
localities havo douo fur similar Im-
provements under similar conditions
and It will not bo necessary to tres-
pass on tho rights of tho people nor to
operate under any law or doubtful or
untried application.
The trouble is that a number of In-
terests that don't caro to have this
short cut competition created aro busy
trying to ralso a "boogor-boo" before
tho eyes of tho greater number of pro
plo who aro really anxious tor this Im-
provement. U wo aw not lamlllar
with tho subject of railroad building
wo might yield our views to the Judg-
ment of others but we see no scu.lble
reason fur setting aside many years of
successful experience and taking the
Judgment of men who never built a
mile of railroad In their liver.
Tho editor of the Tribune is ready to
do his sharo of this work based upon
many years of experience and is read-
to consider the advice of men who
know what they are talking about but
to those who arc wholly without expe-
rience iu creatine such improvements
we would mildly suggest that they
stand aside and withhold their advice
to their neighbors until they have an
opinion backed by a knowledge of the
subject under dlscuislon
Oklahoma City and Northwestern
Oklahoma can secure the most practi-
cal tho most useful and the most eco
nomical railroad transportation over
this Hue known to to this progressive
ago If they caro to do so.
Wo arc ready.
Are youT
But let the conference be limited to
men whoso sole object Is to sccuro the
Improvement and who do uot com to
the meeting loaded with an alleged
railroad survey of doubtful or no value
at all whose first purpose is to use it
to capitalise the real enterprise ar
agninst their neighbor's cash. New

her rose bower is a mass of bloom. It
seems a pity that more of our people
do not give attention to rose culture

exceedingly well in this climate.
