Firo at Clear Lake.
Last Sunday (Christmas morning) at
about H o'clock somn unknown party
set firo to-thu Cleur Lako school house
and burned it to the ground.
There has been somo contention bo-
tween factions in this district and It Is
thought that tho act was prompted
through spite. In tho Judgement of
tlit writer If any party will maliciously
destroy public property to get even
with some individual or individuals
they have shown a predominating
streak of tho "yellow "ur" and havo
committed a very cowardly net which
should bo prosecuted to the full extent
of the law.
The school board of that place have
offered $100 reward for Information
leading to the conviction of tho party
or parties and If they should bu found
out they probably will bo put where
they will not burn nny more buildings
