Dorcas Society Entertains.
Last Tuesday evening a most enjoy-
ablo and unique entertainment waB
givon at tho home of Mr. and Mrs E
H. Mansfield by the Dorcas society of
the Christian church the guests of tho
occasion being tho Marthas of whom
were present Mesdatnes Stono Mans-
fleld Russel Barnes. Wellborn Top
Thomas Taokett and Mason.
The house was prettily decorated
the colors green and white Martha's
colors being in evidence A special
feature of tho arrangement was the
Nursery one room being fitted up to
accommodate the little tots coming
with their mothers. Over tho door in
childish letters were tho words "Suf-
for the little children to come unto
me for of such is the Kingdom of
Heaven." Marie Tackctt and Hope
Mason in nurses caps and dress met
the mothers and guided their little
ones into the nursery where there
were toys and pretty things to attract
tho eyes. Thoso entertained in this
waywero: Baby and Vlnita Barnes
Louiso Tracy Baby Rogor and Hugh
Thomas Paul Mason and Genevieve
Wollborn.
Games wore indulged in conducted
by Reola Mansfield and Enid Millor
Mrs. Stono winning tho prize in the
peanut contest and Mrs. Tackett in
"Catching tho Pigeon." Oranges
wore served. Speeches mado by Mrs.
Mason and Mrs. Russell whogavo tho
facts concerning tho origin of the Dor-
cas Bociety which is purely a little
girls' socioty working in tho interests
of she church earn'ng money in vari
ous ways to pay on tho churah but
wbrking entirely independent of any

interesting manner of entertainment
